According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Knight was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and battery domestic violence, possession of a controlled substance and possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription. The charges stemmed from a domestic violence call involving his girlfriend early in the morning of August 27, 2008, police said.
